Gran Sasso Hands-On PhD School on Astroparticle Physics, to be held at the National Gran Sasso Laboratory (L’Aquila, Italy) from the 9th to the 18th of September 2025.
The School is jointly organized by the National Gran Sasso Laboratory (LNGS), the Department of Physical and Chemical Sciences of the University of L’Aquila and the Gran Sasso Science Institute.
This school is designed for graduate students and early-career researchers who are interested in pursuing research in Experimental Astroparticle Physics.
Over the course of this two-week program, participants will have the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field through a combination of lectures, hands-on activities, and collaborative research projects. They will also have access to state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment.
Topics covered will include:
* General Relativity
* Cosmic-ray physics
* Dark matter searches
* Neutrino physics
* Nuclear astrophysics
* Space-based detectors
In addition to formal instruction, participants will have the chance to engage in informal discussions and networking events with fellow students and faculty members. We anticipate a rich program of social and outreach activities.
This PhD school is open to students and early-career researchers from a variety of academic backgrounds, including physics, astronomy, engineering, and computer science. Successful applicants will have a strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in astroparticle physics.
To apply, please visit our website at the following link https://agenda.infn.it/event/44808/
Applications must be received by May 30, and successful applicants will be notified by the end of June.
Applications from underrepresented groups in physics are strongly euncouraged.
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to deepen your knowledge of astroparticle physics and build connections with fellow researchers in the field.
